Intelligence First

Design the intelligence underneath the work before anyone sketches a set or writes a script.

A framework by Jason Alan Snyder, Co-Founder and Chief AI Officer of Artists & Robots.

What it means

Brand experiences usually start with the visible layer: the set, the script, the film. Intelligence First puts the data architecture, the model behavior, and the adaptive systems ahead of all of that, because they decide what the visible layer can do once it meets a real person.

Designing the intelligence first is not slower. It is the order in which decisions stop being undone. A script written before the intelligence exists is a guess about what the system will know.

How the studio applies it

The agent on our homepage is the intelligence layer shown in the open. Ask it a real question about your category and it reports which registers it queried, what each found, and how long each took, before a word of the brief arrives. The work starts with what the system knows, and shows it.
